Hello, I’m Heidi Blades – your friendly local Foot Health Practitioner serving South Norfolk and North Suffolk.

My journey into foot health has been anything but ordinary!

I began my career in the beauty industry in 1997, specialising in nails before going on to open and successfully run a large beauty salon in Thetford in 2004. Alongside an incredible team, we built a reputation for delivering exceptional treatments and staying at the forefront of the latest products and innovations.

In 2014, I sold the salon and moved into a new chapter of my career. I became an International Head Trainer for HD Brows, travelling extensively, educating professionals around the world, and working with high-profile and celebrity clients. Later, I joined a leading beauty distributor as a sales representative. On just my second day, I was invited to become the UK Lead Trainer for an exciting Canadian brand entering the UK market: Footlogix.

Working closely with the brand’s founder, visiting Canada, and regularly appearing on QVC—where Footlogix consistently sold out—gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of professional foot care. Somewhere along the way, I realised I had found my true calling.

This revelation came as quite a surprise to my former salon team, as I had famously refused to do feet during my beauty salon days!

In 2024, I began my formal training as a Foot Health Care Practitioner, combining decades of client care experience with specialist foot health knowledge. Today, I enjoy helping people with everything from routine nail care to more complex concerns such as ingrowing toenails, corns, calluses, and other foot health issues.

One of the aspects I value most about my work is providing treatments in patients’ own homes. Being in familiar surroundings often helps people feel more relaxed and comfortable, particularly older patients, allowing me to deliver care in a way that is both professional and personal.

What makes this profession even more meaningful is discovering that my great-grandmother also cared for people’s feet in East Harling. It seems foot care runs in the family after all!

And yes, I still use Footlogix in every treatment. When I started my business, I made a promise to myself that I would only use products I truly believe in. My patients deserve the very best, and Footlogix remains the gold standard in foot care.
